Onion Story - Background

Hello everybody and thanks if you dedicate the time to check out my proof of concept.

This is a passion project I've worked on for the past two and a half years (since April 2020) and now I finally see the project in a finished state to prove the basic vision I had since the beginning.

I wanted to create a work of my own everything created by myself (only audios and music I ended up using third party materials as getting the skill would've taken even more years to have even something acceptable). I worked only on the weekends and some holidays, but as life's nature it was not always possible and the past months have been extremely hard to continue as much as I wanted due to stress levels at my full time job and other life events, so I ended up spending a couple of hours during weekends.

I reached the point of deciding if would really be worthy to continue with this project or move on to other ideas that I have.

Initially I wanted to create 3 prototypes and then publish them and let you guys decide which course to take, which project to continue, But the other 2 projects I have in mind are too ambitious and would need a dedicated team to create a worthy prototype. So in the end I just finished this first concept on the idea "what if you could read other peoples minds?" mixed with aesthetics similar to one of my favorite games Mother (Erthbound). For this I came up with a special Mind Reading mechanic which requires the use of Analogue Left and Right triggers of a gamepad to work, inspired on the lockpicking mechanics of RPGs.

Depending on the reception of this prototype, I will decide if I continue fleshing it out transforming it into a real game, applying for sponsorships, gathering a team etcetera. Or forget about it and move on to the other ideas.

As a closure I would really appreciate your feedback if you take the time to fill a small form:
